About the Author

James Musgrave was born in Fall River, Massachusetts. A United States Navy veteran, he later built a career in education and administration, teaching as a Professor of English and working as Supervisor of Management Development at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, as well as at several colleges in San Diego.

He is the author of numerous works of horror, mystery, science fiction, and short fiction, and is now the author and publisher at EMRE Publishing, LLC, based in San Diego. His writing often explores dark psychological terrain, historical crime, moral consequence, and speculative futures.

His war story “The Secret Garden” recently received a major award, and his mysteries have been named Featured Selections by the American Library Association.
